Vêrsientheid is ‘n besondere leierseienskap. THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT GIVES NOTICE THAT IT WILL BE WITHDRAWING FROM THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT The ANC government without approval of parliament has given notice of its intention to withdraw from the ICC. The ICC was created in 1998 to hold perpetrators of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity to account when national courts are unable or unwilling to prosecute them for their crimes. The South African government’s move comes after it hosted Sudanese President Omar al – Bashir to the African Union Summit held in June 2016 and failed to arrest Al – Bashir who has two warrants of arrest against him, issued by the ICC for genocide and crimes against humanity. South African courts confirmed that the government neglected its duty to arrest Al – Bashir. This is a very disturbing move by the government and should send a red alert warning to South Africans. Al – Bashir has applauded the move and encouraged other African leaders to do the same.  Why would the South African government not want to be subject to laws against genocide and crimes against humanity? The reasons they give are ridiculous in the extreme. Could it be that they do not want to be held internationally accountable for things they are planning? Connect the dots and draw your own conclusions…… This is a very ominous and sinister development. […]
